One-on-One Disciple-making

Since the beginning of Hope, one-on-one disciple-making has always been part of our dream.  However, at the beginning only a few of us were actually involved.  Then in 2012/2013, our leadership had some extended discussions about how we could be more intentional in helping people to become fully-devoted followers of Christ.  Most of our leadership team decided to initiate this strategy of one-on-one disciple-making by beginning to meet with one individual once every 2-3 weeks to help them to grow.  Some would call this spiritual mentoring.  Although this is primarily for younger believers, we are also finding that more mature believers are also greatly benefiting from this one-on-one disciple-making/mentoring relationship.

We also developed a coaching structure to encourage and support all our leaders/trainers.

As time progressed, more people joined us in this process!

We are now beginning to see multiplication occur as those who were being trained are now becoming one-on-on disciple-making trainers themselves.  We have found that many people long to be used by God to have an impact on others.  Yet so many don't know where to begin.  One-on-one disciple-making has given them an opportunity to be used by God to help others understand what it means to walk with God.  Our dream is to see this cycle continue as more people are trained and multiply into the lives of others!  In this way we hope to contribute to the fulfillment of Jesus' Great Commission of making disciples of all nations!
